The following paintings were completed to celebrate the arrival of five large groups of Old Order Amish Families from Pennsylvanis,Delaware,Ohio,Michigan and Kentucky.They are purchasing all of the abandoned farms in Central New York State on both sides of the Mohawk River Valley.It is such a positive event for our area that my paintings are being done so that everyone will better understand their lifestyle,values and wholesome way of living.I volunteer to teach art in two of their one room schools since they have no art program.This brings me closer to a better understanding of their way of living , so it can be shared with us "Englishers".
