This is a fully restored Sears Gas Station in Rome,New York.It was restored by the Sears family as a museum to their former sucessful chain of gas stations that they operated from the early 1930's to 1970's in the Central New York area. A 1941 Lincoln Continental is just pulling in for gas and an early Harley is already filling his motorcycles's 2 1/2 gallon tank.
The Dolgeville ,N.Y. shoe and slipper factory on the East Canada Creek in Herkimer County.On the bridge are a yellow Metz roadster,a Graham -Paige rack truck and a Moon roadster.The water falls in the background creates a dam to supply waterpower to drive one of the earliest General Electric electricity creating waterwheel.
